Julia StarpJulia Starp Fashion Design is a young label (since 2009) from Hamburg/Germany concentrating on High Fashion for women.
The label is specialising in cloaks, jackets and dresses with extraordinary details and a striking cut.
The designer continuously creates exclusive Haute Couture unique pieces with which she already contested succeccfully in numerous competitions.
The Concours International at the Carroussel du Louvre in Paris, as well as the Young Desinger Award of the German fashion magazine burda, Pfaff and Catwork or the Success for future Award 2011 in the category „Ecotainment“ are only some renowned examples.
The German actresses Sabine Kaack, Birte Glang and Barbara Meier are equally fascinated by the outstanding fashion designs.
The couturier Julia Starp always attaches great importance to individuality, exclusiveness and top quality of her fashion designs.
For three years, her unique pieces have been sold at the Levantehaus in Hamburg, a high quality fashion store run by young designers.
Since 2009, the label has been existing under the name of Julia Starp Fashion Design. It is oriented towards its own Prêt-à-Porter collections.
These are displayed at the Berlin Fashionweek since summer 2010 presented in fashion shows at the Lavera Showfloor.
The fashion pieces are exlusively produced under fair conditions and solely in Europe (Fair Trade).
In 2005, after completing successfully her degree in Fashion Design at the renowned JAK Academy in Hamburg, Julia Starp got involved with a sheltered workshop for two years („Perpektive Meldorf“). Together with people with disabilities, she created a fashion collection entirely made of hand-woven tissues. Afterwards these unique pieces were presented in a fashion show.
In 2012 Julia Starp creates an exclusive collection for OTTO ECOREPUBLIC, which can be ordered in the OTTO catalogue.
