With Regina Motalib
London - the fashion metropolis and most frequently visited city in Europe. There is no other place where you can spot the newest trends, eccentric streetstyles or most fashionable places. Our chief editor Daniel teams up with our London correspondent Regina Motalib to take you on a tour of the finest abodes and attractions of a timeless city that effortlessly combines vintage charm with cutting edge style. It does not matter whether you have a low or high budget: in London short and spontaneous weekends, costly shopping trips or spa visits are possible. Let's go then!
Bloomsbury Hotel - in the centre of London life!
Steeped in history, this elegantly restored building sits in the heart of 18th-century Bloomsbury and houses a luxury hotel. It perfectly blends old school charm with modern essentials - so you can sink into the red velvet chaise logue while sipping the perfect blend of coffee from the Nespresso machine.
Whether it’s the energy of the West End, the fashion boutiques of Covent Garden or the drama of Theatre Land, location-wise the Bloomsbury Hotel offers a lot to the guests. Its proximity to Oxford Street means you can shop till you (almost) drop. Back in the hotel, the Victorian bathtub in an elegant atmosphere is waiting to soothe you.
Daniel & Regina’s opinion: Quintessentially-English (interiors), enchanting (proximity to The Disney Store) and posh (oak-panelled restaurant). Pure luxury!
Malmaison Hotel - noble and moody!
Located in London’s Square Mile, this former nurse's home is the perfect haven for a good rest and relaxation. If you like glamourous boudoirs with wood floors and oversized bathtubs, the suites of this boutique hotel will fascinate you. The deluxe bedroom radiates style and sex appeal and leaves you cooing "Oh là là." If the nearby Museum of London leaves you hungry for more excitement, jump into the Underground and stop at the magical space Kensington Roof Gardens. Here real flamingos wander around the garden with a restaurant over the roofs of London.
Daniel & Regina’s opinion: Swanky (bathroom), moody (ambience) and elegant (decor). When can we move in, please?

Kensington Roof Gardens - Babylon Restaurant
Imagine dining alfresco while you are looking at pink flamingos, one hundred feet above one of London's busiest and most fashionable high streets. Enjoy amazing views of London's skyline as you feast on Cornish Crab Pasta and Summer Truffle Risotto, then take a walk in one and half acres of stunning themed gardens and say hello to the friendly pink birds.
Tune Hotel Canary Wharf - nice and low priced!
The philosophy behind the Tune Hotel chain is that you get five-star beds without paying the five-star price. Despite the low-cost character the hotel sits discretely but perfectly amongst London’s financial district. Beside high quality beds, guests enjoy high pressure showers in the ensuite bedrooms. The ‘pay as you use’-system allows you to save cash and spend it on designer shopping sprees.
Daniel’s opinion: Awesome prices, comfy five-star beds and hot, high-pressure showers and affordable for everyone.
Address: 21 Hertsmere Road West, London E14 4BS
London Bridge Hotel - high life in the city centre!
This hotel is city-chic as it should be: close to the station and with some of London’s hippest sightseeing hot spots like the Shard on its doorstep. Across the road are Southwark Cathedral, Borough Market and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. If you want to see the best of London from a glass pod, the London Eye is only a pleasant walk or short train ride away. The deluxe rooms offer fashionable guests a walk-in closet, DVD player and iPod dock. So it’s hard to believe that this stylish four-star hotel was opened in a building from as early as 1915.
Daniel & Regina’s opinion: Opulent afternoon tea, welcoming concierges Amit & Norbert and divine walk-in-closets.

Go Native Mayfair - the dream of a private holiday home!
These 5 star apartments of Go Native offer a practical but luxurious alternative to hotels. They ensure their guests get the home-from-home feeling. The interior design of the apartments is in accordance with the 1890’s Victorian mews property. Minimalist decor and contemporary British furniture complement the building’s heritage. The impressive marble bathrooms feature White Company products and the stylish kitchens are perfect to entertain guests. It is well located for leisurely walks to Hyde Park and West End shopping. If you wish to dine like a Maharaja, forget cooking and head to the nearby lavish, French-Indian restaurant, La Port des Indes. You might sit next to Will Smith or other celebrities who love dining there.
Daniel’s opinion: Ideal location, noble accommodation and exquisite facilities. Cinderella and Sleeping-Beauty-feeling that you have to experience.
La Porte des Indes
Only a stones throw away from Hyde Park and a popular haunt for local and visiting celebrities is this gem of a restaurant. Enjoy delicious French-influenced, traditional Indian dishes in an Edwardian ballroom with palms and a waterfall. Dress up in your most stylish frock and dine with the stars in style.
Chewton Glen tree houses - a fairytale just a train ride away!
For a respite from the hustle and bustle of London's life, jump on a train from Waterloo to New Milton in Hampshire. Deep in the New Forest is a gem that will be unforgettable. The stunning architecture and interiors of the Chewton Glen tree houses will take your breath away. Built high among the trees of a secluded valley, each tree house sits on stilts. The state-of-the-art facilities include iPads for room service requests, coffee machines with wow-factor, luxurious bathrooms with huge free-standing bathtubs. But none of this interferes with your connection with nature.
Turn up the volume of the high tech music system playing Frank Liszt's Liebestraum and dive into the natural beauty of your surroundings from your jaccuzi tub on the terrace. The floor to ceiling windows allows nature to envelop you in a ‘green tartan blanket embrace’. The last things that you need to complete the magic are summer-time English rain and thunderstorms. You will emerge from this break feeling like a movie star. In fact, forget Vegas - what happens in the treehouse stays in the treehouse…
Daniel & Regina’s opinion: Dreamy (coffee machine), dramatic (architecture) and a speechless Daniel. A once in a lifetime experience! If you spend your honeymoon, the most romantic night of your life, in this fairytale land - we believe you will live together happily ever after!
